america martin is an internationally acclaimed colombian-american painter and sculptor. and if she is not yet on your radar, she must be.
i am so drawn to the texture of her work. she clearly pulls from classic artists but also feels incredibly of the moment. and feels authentic in a very special way. i often find that art that is a little abstract is a better representation of the truth than exact representations, and america is a great example of that for me.
